Data and backup

Choose a recovery or export file that actually includes the records and photos you need. Date-review controls are in the next app update.

Device backup and core records remain available. Seller tools require Pro; connected Curator exports follow that account's access and file scope.

How to use it

  1. Open Data & Backup and read each option's inclusion description before choosing a file.
  2. For seller spreadsheets, open Business → Data → Import and export, then Import sales or Import inventory. Review each row's Original input and Will save date.
  3. Use Review date to enter YYYY-MM-DD, accept the exact shown date, or Skip the row. Local-only inventory can Keep date unknown; connected inventory needs a date or Skip. Save stays unavailable while selected rows need a date decision.
  4. Use Export Device Backup for local lists, activity, seller records and settings. Use Export and Recover Files for the separate device photo and account-export routes.
  5. For connected Curator copies and uploaded files, use Curator Records and Private Files → Export ZIP when available. Curator records only contains links, not the actual photo or image files.
  6. Before restoring, keep a verified backup, choose Restore Backup, read the preview and replacement warning, and confirm Restore only for the intended file and account.

What the numbers and terms mean

Calendar-only import dates use your local calendar day. Timestamps with an offset keep their exact instant and display in local time. Supported local unknown inventory dates stay unset. Device backup, photo ZIP, seller CSV and connected Curator archive have different contents. Sync is a working account copy, not an independent backup. A records-only file is not automatically a photo backup.

Worked example

For 03/04/2020, decide whether the intended date is March 4 or April 3, then enter 2020-03-04 or 2020-04-03. A CSV can preserve editable inventory fields while leaving out the actual photo files. Keep the appropriate photo or Curator ZIP too when you need the images for recovery.

Before you rely on this

These date-review controls are in the next app update. In earlier versions, correct source dates to unambiguous YYYY-MM-DD before importing and verify the saved dates. A missing or uncertain date must not be assumed to mean today. Device Restore Backup can replace local records; Curator archive restore has a separate missing-record/file flow. Read the selected route's preview. Collection Documentation is not a restorable backup or appraisal, and exports must not mix accounts.

Worked examples are fictional. Follow the controls available in your release and account.
