Requires current HobbyWise Pro access. Free core tracking remains available.
How to use it
- Use Record a buy to enter the whole amount in Whole-buy cash paid, then tap Save Buy.
- Choose Select useful stock when offered, or open Inventory and Add item for the copies worth tracking.
- Give each copy its own known Cost paid and useful storage details. Link it to the correct Acquisition before Save item.
- Choose Record a sale, select the exact inventory copy, and enter its actual sale amount, fees and shipping.
- Review Net proceeds and Item profit before Save sale, then compare Recovered proceeds with the whole-buy cash still left to recover.
What the numbers and terms mean
Whole-buy cash paid is the lot's cash outlay once. Selected-copy costs divide that amount among tracked pieces. Net proceeds is sale money after recorded fees and shipping; item profit then subtracts that copy's recorded cost, before operating expenses. Buy recovery answers how much of the whole outlay has come back.
Worked example
Pay $120 for a lot and assign $40 each to two copies: $80 is assigned and $40 remains unassigned. Sell the first for $100, with $10 fees, $5 shipping paid and $0 shipping charged: net proceeds is $85 and item profit is $45. The whole buy still has $35 left to recover; the second copy remains unsold.
Before you rely on this
Track individual physical copies and their known costs. Unknown costs stay unknown. Recovering buy cash does not mean the remaining stock is profit. Operating expenses are separate; do not deduct the same cost twice.
Worked examples are fictional. Follow the controls available in your release and account.
